This refresher course is designed to combat skills fade—a common challenge for guides who use their rope skills infrequently or in isolated contexts. Built on the success of our 2024 Roping Skills Refresher course, this program focuses on delivering better client experiences through efficient rigging and dispatching, smooth rescues, and improved guiding styles. Guides will leave with enhanced confidence, roping skills, and efficiency, creating a more positive and professional guiding experience.

Pre-requisites

We want you to get the most out of this course, so it’s important to meet these pre-requisites:

• Current abseiling or guiding quals/skills

• Basic understanding of single pitch rigging and rescue techniques

• Comfortable working at heights and in exposed environments
