A must for those wanting to Guide Canyons in the Blue Mountains and beyond this course can count as an elective group toward a full Cert IV or stand alone.
With eLearning before and during the course and 12 days of hands on face to face delivery and assessment we aim to give you the confidence, knowledge, guiding and technical skills to enter the workforce as a canyon guide.
Covering:
- SISOCAY001 Traverse canyons
- SISOCAY002 Abseil in easy to intermediate canyons
- SISOCAY004 Establish ropes and belays for abseils in easy to intermediate canyons
- SISOCAY006 Lead canyoning activities, easy to intermediate canyons
- SISOFLD007 Navigate in difficult tracked environments
- SISORSC002 Perform vertical rescues
Monday - Thursday for 3 consecutive weeks.
This provides time for students to complete their cliff practice days before their assessments in the final week.
